The estimate is where a move goes wrong
Nobody counts the basement, the garage or the shed over the phone. They regularly hold a third of the volume — and that is exactly what makes the day run long and the invoice surprise you.
What we do
Five services, one day to get right
Most contracts combine two or three of them. The estimate tells you which ones you actually need rather than which ones we would like to sell.

Residential moving
From a three-room apartment to a family home, with volume estimated on site, a fixed crew and a price that states what happens if the day runs long.

Commercial moving
Offices, clinics and shops moved evenings or weekends, with a labelling plan so every workstation goes back together in the right place.

Packing and unpacking
Full or partial packing with materials supplied, and unpacking on arrival in the order you actually need things rather than box by box.

Storage
Storage between two dates that do not line up, with a photographed inventory on intake and furniture covered rather than stacked bare.

Heavy items and pianos
Piano, safe, hot tub, pool table: the items where equipment and route matter more than strength, and where improvising gets expensive.
How we work
July 1st gets booked in March
Nearly every lease in Quebec ends June 30th, which compresses a full year of moves into three days. Anyone still showing availability in June has generally accepted more contracts than they can deliver. We would rather tell you in May that we are full.
- On-site estimate, free, with volume in cubic feet
- What happens if the day runs long, written in the quote
- Frames, corners, railings and thresholds protected first
- Insurance certificate sent with the quote, not on request
- Damage reported the same day, with a photo
Coverage
Five towns, travel included
No mileage charge appears at the end of the day. The distance is already built into the quoted price.
Reviews
Including the ones that mention the overrun
They came to estimate on site instead of giving me a price over the phone. The real volume was a third more than I had said. Better to know in June than at eleven o'clock on July 1st.
Long sloped driveway by the lake. They came with a smaller truck and made two trips, which was planned and priced. The competitor had promised one trip with a truck that would never have made it up.
The day ran two hours over the estimate. It was quoted as an hourly rate with an estimated duration, not a flat fee, so the bill was no surprise. I would have liked the estimate to be closer.
Upright piano, third floor, spiral staircase. They came to measure the stairwell a week ahead. On the day it took forty minutes and nothing touched a wall.
Six weeks of storage between the sale and taking possession. The photographed inventory on intake saved me from wondering all summer whether something was missing.
They refused to guarantee July 1st because they were already full. They told me in May rather than taking the contract and calling me the day before. We moved on the 3rd and everything went fine.

July 1st gets booked in March, not June
In Quebec nearly every lease ends on the same day. Here is how that quirk distorts prices and availability for the whole season.

Why your phone estimate will be wrong
The number of rooms says nothing about actual volume. The basement, the garage and the shed explain almost every overrun on moving day.

Moving an office without losing a business day
Friday evening to Monday morning is the standard window. What makes it hold or fail is labelling prepared two weeks ahead.
